First Claw (on the tabletop)
I get a lot of images (and often the models themselves, as gifts) of First Claw conversions. It’s always flattering, always awesome, and always a surprise. I keep every single one for my office (and soon, for the Aaronorium).
But… Jesus Christ. Here’s the newest one. Just look at these guys.
Freaking killer.
Oh man these are amazing! ๐
WHICH ONE IS WHICH DAMNIT?! (Talos is the middle obviously)
1st on the left Cyrion, 2nd Xarl, 3rd Talos, 4th Mercutian and the 5th is the poor misunderstood Uzas ^^
I hereby request pictures of all the miniatures you’ve got ๐ (love to see others’ work)
Harumph!
Awww, no Variel?
Aaronarium? Is that like the Batcave? The Aaron-Cave.
Uzas, you magnificent bastard.
Beware spoilers! As i see it – the name for the book ‘Betrayer’ goes to every personae in it! Thats awesome – who the real betrayer is? Lorgar who betrayed Angron, saving him in this way? Delvarus who betrayed legion trust leaving the Conqueror? Lhorke who betrayed World Eaters feeling himself a true and lonely War hound? Librarians who tried to save their Primarch, who doesnt want to be saved? Cyrene who wasnt left alone even in death? Erebus for you know being the Deceiver and a peace of shit (AT WHY AAAAAAAAA)? Kharn when he heard himself called the Betrayer? Angron – who was taken from the moment of his greatest triumph, eveb if it was leading to his death? Skulls of his dead comrades who was betrayed in a way? Or the Emperor who had taken the freedom of death from Angron? Its awesome – everyone feels betrayed in this book? 1 minor note through – warhounds vs Emperor – really?
Several dozen Warhounds against an Imperator still powering up and getting ready to fire. The Emperor had no chance.
If that scene’s hard to believe you, uh, may need to re-look at Titan scales and the fact they don’t just wake up ready to dance. That many Warhounds would easily, easily take down an Imperator.
I agree with you Aaron, not read ‘Betrayer’ yet (waiting for the peasant’s copy), in the good ole days of epic 40k the imperator was still fair game, it may have been big, ugly and capable of beating all comers, it was still quite slow and ponderous and could be dragged down by sheer weight in numbers. Strip the voids and then start on the soft locations that slowly crippled it, or hammer the reactor, either way, fair game for titan killing warhounds. Also the wind screens tended to mist up and it would never start first time in winter.
Aaron has done it again with awesome book. The Captain of the Conqueror. Amazing character. Moderati for Syrgalath – fantastic, but Delvarus – we haven’t seen his badassessness at all =( And i have another minor point – I think if you destroy Trisagion or Conqueror too – it would be more logical, especially with the Ultramarines armada to count =) Its like Trisagion or Conqueror – undestructible! I will repeat myself, but – ALL IN ALL – THIS IS THE BOOK OF THE YEAR!
Dear god i peed a little.
Liking the paint scheme a lot. I am working on my heresy era Night Lords and I was trying to work out how much lightning to go with. I decided little bits here and there was the was forward and the above image proves that to be true.
Hopefully I can get them all done for Throne of Skulls in March ๐
Unrelated to the topic, but any chance of miraculous salvation for the Celestial Lions in your upcoming short story?
Please please point me to a tutorial of the kit bash, or link me who can. The nightlord trilogy was amazing. Gave upbsoace marines to make renegade bands, CV heavy emphasis on NL and a bit of EC and pepper in the rest with traitors, warbands and renegades. So much more fun to paint. All love
