Most Common Words in My Last Two Novels

For kicks, I ran my last two novels Void Stalker and The Emperor’s Gift through Wordle, which makes a word cloud out of the most frequently used words in any given block of text, taking out the really basic ones like “and” and “I” and “the”.

I have a feeling if I did this for Betrayer right now, it would look a little like this:

No points for working out that one.

No points at all.

  2. “Talos” and “Cyrion” being the most-used from Void Stalker seems right. I miss those guys.

  9. About “Talos” being the most common word in Void Stalker: is his name is a reference to the Bronze Man of Crete?

    • I’ve been wondering that a lot, too. The flawed metal protector who becomes the destruction of what he is supposed to protect because of his Achilles Heel… Which has something to do with is heart.

  10. I’m about to start reading Void Stalker. As of looking at the “special thanks” at the end of Blood Reaver, I’m wondering if you’ll manage to somehow work in a scene where Kharn is wearing a commissar hat. Honestly, even just some kind of fancy hat will do, we’ll all totally know what that’s about.

Regardless of that, I haven’t looked forward to a Horus Heresy book this much since Legion.
