  3. my question is…. Will it be allowed to be published when it’s finished?
it’s not the first time something akin to this pops up and the previous fanfilms have never been allowed by GW to be released….

    • Actually GW want this project to go through, they really like it.

      • Then everybody (Specially ME) the merrier!

Great news for everybody who loves the 30/40K universe, since Ultramarines really left a more bitter than sweet aftertaste… almost as if the guys in RELIC had put more effort to the D.O.W. intros than the film makers.

  5. I think they might be especially peeved given how well animated and rendered in full gothic detail that vid was by comparison with Ultramarines…

    • You make a really strong point there. But it remains to be seen whether the graphics will remain this good all the way through (hopefully!) and what the voice acting will be like.

Frankly, it won’t have as good a a cast as Ultramarines. But that is because there have been productions of Hamlet that didn’t have as strong a cast as Ultramarines.

      • Damn skippy. Just put Sean Pertwee and John Hurt on anything and it sweats pure mansauce. Even tampon adverts.

And yes, sadly it may well develop the computer game problem of too much dissonance between the cinematic trailer and the actual game. But if this film is a small project, a labour of love from one nutjob, then it’ll probably be that lovingly rendered all the way through… and take 8 years and 5 nervous breakdowns.

  9. It would be a stroke of genius for GW to “adopt” this project… fully sanction it (make it fluff!)… give it support… pay the dude! (and everybody else)… seriously, these opportunities don’t come along that much… EPIC WIN!

  12. No way! This is awesome! I hope GW DOES back this up. Ultramarines was okay, but it left me wanting something more…more daemons and their twisted ways, more depth to the characters, MORE SPACE MARINES AND MORE CHAOS MARINES! More fighting, more death, more DAEMONS!…I’m not a follower of Khorne or anything…but yeah, this is exciting. Totally shared this on Twitters and BookFace.

  13. ADB please put up an addendum on this post that states that GW has given this the green light. Hell, link Erasmus’s blog post, too.
